  • Mobile Money for Resilience (MM4R) At the end of 2017, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) launched the Mobile Money for Resilience (MM4R) initiative to improve the quality of life of Jordanians and refugees impacted by the Syrian crisis. Established as a permanent committee within the CBJ, MM4R aims to build the resilience of vulnerable populations by equipping them with the financial tools to withstand and recover from economic shocks.Read more
  • FinTech Regulatory Sandbox
    FinTech Sandbox is a safe and controlled experimental environment that allows businesses and entrepreneurs to test newly developed FinTechs without directly being subject to regulatory and supervisory requirements, and without bearing legal costs in the beginning, thus supporting them in entering the market faster. In 2018, the Central Bank of Jordan has announced the establishment of the FinTech Regulatory Sandbox that allows pioneers and entrepreneurs in the financial technology realm to approach CBJ and apply for regulatory mentorship and support, and the availability to test FinTech solutions before going live to increase the chances of success in the market.
